Meany PTSA News 10/27/17

Ready, set, VOTE!

King County ballots were mailed to registered voters this weekend. Remember to mail your ballots by November 7th. On the back of your ballot will be three school board positions. ReadySetVote.Org is a great impartial resource to compare each candidate's endorsements. Last weekend, the WA State PTSA Assembly news passed All 4 Resolutions, and 7 Legislative Issues which will guide WA PTSA's advocacy at the Legislative session 2017-18 in Olympia. Learn more here, or contact Legislative Chair, Nancy Jensen, nancymcjensen@gmail.com.

Online donations are live

If you've been itching to donate to the Meany PTSA, it just got a whole lot easier! You can now donate online, and major credit cards and PayPal are both accepted. Our Fundraising Committee is hard at work putting together the Annual Fund, so watch your mailbox — and the new donation page — for more information coming very soon.

Special Education parent group

Thank you to all who attended the first gathering of the Special Education parent group! We invite anyone else who is interested to attend our next meeting on November 16 where we'll continue to talk about the challenges and frustrations, joys and triumphs, processes and paperwork involved in raising special kids — and how to foster inclusivity in our diverse school culture. Please contact Lori Hiltz to RSVP or with any questions.
