Meany PTSA votes to approve budget

The Meany PTSA Revised 2017-2018 budget has been approved! In consultation with the administration and BLT reps and reflective of parent survey input, the $77K budget covers Meany students’ planners; supports each individual teacher as well as all academic departments, including Special Ed and ELL; contributes toward after-school academic interventions; supports social-emotional, diversity, and outreach efforts; and sets aside some funds for community-building events. Together with seed money from the Washington Middle School split, all contributions to the Meany PTSA this year support this year’s students. Read an overview of the adopted budget.

Annual Fund update

With nearly $15,000 raised so far, we're on pace to reach our goal, as long as we keep up this good momentum. Funds help with academic classroom support, additional resources for teachers, and opportunities for students to extend their learning beyond the school day. This is our primary fundraiser as there will be no auction this year. The deadline is December 31st and you can make your contribution today by visiting or by sending a check, made payable to the Meany PTSA, to the school office. We are striving for 100% participation, so please make your gift today to support Meany students, teachers, and the entire Meany community. Thank you!

Winter cheer concert reception

Please join us for a cookie, coffee, and hot cocoa reception prior to the winter concert on Tuesday, December 12th starting at 5:30 pm in the Meany Cafe. Kids can grab a treat prior to heading to their classes to warm-up, and parents can linger in the cafe while waiting for the concert to start at 7 pm. All are welcome — even if you don’t have a performer, come and support the music program and meet some new people in the Meany community. Please sign up if you can help by bringing cookies or serving. Questions? Contact Lara Kreyenhagen
