Thank you for giving!

Thanks to your generosity, the inaugural Meany Middle School Annual Fund was a big success! The campaign raised more than $30,000, which will go toward academic classroom support, additional resources for teachers, and opportunities for students to extend their learning beyond the school day. This was an impressive effort for a first-year annual fund for a new school, and a powerful demonstration of this community coming together around our shared purpose. Thank you! If you gave a gift, and your company has a corporate employee matching program, we will send you information that will allow you to have your gift matched. Be on the lookout for an email in the next few weeks from your Annual Fund co-chairs and let's see that awesome total get even higher!

There will be representatives from the Center School, Nova, Garfield, Franklin, Cleveland, Interagency, Summit Sierra and other programs. We will have food, interpreters, and prizes. All are welcome!

PTSA General Meeting

Thank you to everyone who attended the PTSA General Meeting on Tuesday night! It featured an informative and insightful presentation from Meany's own counseling team, the incomparable Ms. Baker and Mr. Jackson. We were also thrilled to host a guest appearance by Zachary DeWolf, the Seattle School Board representative for District V. He shared his perspective and priorities for Meany and the district, and listened carefully to questions and concerns from the Meany community. We look forward to further conversations and partnership with Mr. DeWolf. As always we appreciated Principal Oatis taking questions and sharing updates during her regular Chats with Chanda talk.
