Meany PTSA News 3/16/18

Make a difference at Meany!

The Meany PTSA is looking for new board members for the 2018-2019 school year. The organization is up and running, and there's clear direction focusing on the school community needs and outreach events for next year. It's a great way to get to know other families at the school, you’ll work with the diverse Meany community, and it's a reasonable time commitment. We’re particularly looking for people to work as volunteer coordinator, communications chair and on the outreach and budget committees. Contact for more information.

PTSA Meeting next Tuesday, March 20th at 6:30 pm

Join us in the Meany library to hear about upcoming fun events and other school updates. If you’ve been curious about the PTSA, but have never come to a meeting, we’d love to see you! Parents of incoming students welcome too.

Special Education parent group

The Meany Special Education parent group will next meet on Tuesday, March 27th at 6:00 pm in the library. Please join us if you have a child with a 504 or IEP, want to learn more about Special Education, or are interested in being an ally for Special Education and supporting this vital part of our diverse school community. Contact Lori Hiltz to RSVP or learn more.

Donations needed

Our wonderful counselor Ms. Baker has a wish list of items that would help her in supporting our students. Items include things like clothes, shoes, personal hygiene items, fidget toys, snacks, and more. Please contact for the complete list or to coordinate a donation.

Calling all student artists!

We are planning on a really fun art event in May. If your student brought home artwork from the first semester, please hold on to it so we can display it. We would also love to showcase performance or visual art that Meany students have produced outside of the class. More details to come soon!
