Looking for Mr. or Mrs. Write

Meany PTSA is looking for someone to fill the role of Communication Chair on our board. We need a volunteer to step forward to ensure that this weekly newsletter continues on!

The bulk of the work can be done from home. Main responsibilities include producing this email newsletter and also managing/updating the Meany PTSA website. This person should be a good writer and will be responsible for collecting school info/announcements and getting it out every week.

The newsletter format can be kept as is, or we welcome your ideas to come up with a better design for both the newsletter and website.

If you are interested in learning more, please contact Jen Emrich.

Ski Bus - Volunteers Needed

We are gearing up for the third year of the Friends of Meany Ski Bus! While we are still waiting for final confirmation from WebbSki regarding specific dates and costs, we do know a few details.

  • The ski bus will run on Friday nights for six weeks from early January until mid-February

  • The bus leaves immediately after school and returns to Meany between 10:30-11:00.

  • Students have the choice whether to sign up for lessons or have the entire time to ski on their own. Those who do sign up for lessons will also have some free time.

  • All grade levels are welcome to participate.

It’s important to know that while there are chaperones on the bus, students will need to be able to function independently on the mountain.

Note: Ski Bus is not a school or PTSA-sponsored activity. Fees are charged by the provider.

We will need 2-3 adults to volunteer as chaperones for each night. Please contact 8th grade parent John Sullivan (206jjs@gmail.com) if you have questions or are interested in volunteering.
